I am pretty certain that the winds are starting to blow in Hilary's favor. She is starting to make some headlines. So the media is acknowledging that their little tin god has clay feet.
Pretty surprised that they are noticing another politician. It was like the All Obama News for so long, ever since he put his pretty face out in the primaries.
References :
The post of Secretary of State, in the early days of the Republic, was seen as a 'stepping stone' to the Presidency. 5 of the first 8 Presidents had previously served as America's top diplomat.
Thomas Jefferson (during Washington's first term)
James Madison
James Monroe
John Quincy Adams
Martin Van Buren
In the disputed election of 1824, a 'corrupt bargain' was reached whereby Henry Clay, the third place finisher in the four man race, threw his support to John Qincy Adams over the leading candidate Andrew Jackson. Adams was elected president, and Clay named as Secretary of State.
The last Secretary of State to later be elected president was James Buchanan, who served as Polk's Secretary of State from 1845 - 49, and served as President from 1857 - 1861.
For Hillary to challenge Obama, there would have to be a serious rift between them over a diplomatic situation where she would either resign or be asked to submit her resignation.
Once out of office, Hillary could decide to challenge Obama for re-election, but, History has shown that challenges to incumbent presidents have not been successful. In fact, the last sitting president to lose re-nomination was Franklin Pierce, when he lost his bid for a second term in 1856 to James Buchanan. There have been other challenges to sitting presidents in more recent years:
In 1912, former President Theodore Roosevelt bolted from the Republican Party after William Howard Taft's re-nomination. In the three man race, TR outpolled Taft by 27% to 23% popular vote (electoral vote 88 vs 8), thus giving the election to Democrat Woodrow Wilson.
In 1976, Ronald Reagan challenged Gerald Ford, and came within 87 delegate votes of beating the president.
In 1980, Senator Ted Kennedy challenged Jimmy Carter.
In 1992, Conservative columnist Pat Buchanan challenged President George H.W. Bush.
In each of these cases, the nomination challenge divided the party, and was a contributing factor to their losing the White House in the General Election.
Hillary is a smart and politically saavy individual. I do not believe that she would wage a challenge, but if she did, she would have my full support.
As you can see by the above cited statistics, History would not be on her side, on several counts.
References :
I am a Presidential Historian.

If Obama's presidency goes down the tubes anyone connected to him will be politically dead in the water...that would be the same if anyone connected with G W Bush ran for the office. Hillary would have been smarter if she had listened to her own campaign slogans when it comes to Obama and just waited until Obama failed then run again in 2012 against him.
References :
Nope, Obama will be the only democrat running. The only way Hilary will be able to run against him is if she doesn't run as a democrat.
References :
I doubt it. She caved in to the Party, gave up her bid and handed her supporters over to Obama. She further gave up her seat in the US Senate in order to become Secretary of State, receiving special consideration from the president, and unprecedented access to him because of her sacrifice towards his success. Personally, I think she should have remained in the Senate and been able to actually effect change that would have an impact on voters, rather than assume her current position - the high image but empty role she currently fulfills.
References :
Would be most surprised if Obama received any opposition, He will
just let the wheels fall off his cart, And he will drift off onto the book
trail after 2012, The Only good thing, we won't be forced to watch
to listen to him after that day.
